4 tea workers die inhaling toxic gas in Moulvibazar

At least four tea workers died after entering a septic tank at the Harinchhara Tea Garden in Sreemangal Upazila of Moulvibazar. Doctors suspect the deaths were caused by toxic gas poisoning inside the tank.
The deceased were known as Rana Nayek, 17, Sraban Nayesh, 19, Krishna Rabidas, 20, and Nipen Fulmali, 27.
Confirming the matter, Srimangal police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aminul Islam said, “We have received reports that four people died after entering a septic tank at Harinchhara Tea Garden in Sreemangal around 2:00 am. One person was injured in the incident and has been sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.”
Local sources said that the incident took place on Wednesday midnight at the Harinchhara tea garden of the Finlay Company.
