Mahbubur murder: Police investigating 7 reasons

The police have started an investigation with 7 reasons behind the murder of Mullah Mahbubur Rahman, the former vice-president of the Daulatpur thana unit of Juba Dal.  He was also expelled in the KUET incident. 

The CCTV footage from the area has already been collected. However, no clue has been found even after 24 hours of the murder. 

Despite filing a case, the police have not been able to arrest anyone. 

On Saturday (July 12) evening, Daulatpur thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mir Atahar Ali gave this information. 

Earlier, in the afternoon, the father of the deceased Md. Abdul Karim Mullah filed a murder case as the plaintiff. 
Unknown persons have been accused in the case. 

Khulna Metropolitan Police Additional Police Commissioner Abu Saleh Raihan said, “We have started the investigation with multiple factors in mind. Multiple weapons were used in the murder and three people took part. They came on a motorcycle. Those involved in this incident will be arrested soon.”

Mullah Mahbubur Rahman was shot and hacked to death by miscreants in public on Friday (July 11) noon in Maheshwarpasha West Para of Daulatpur thana. 

According to eyewitnesses, Mahbub was cleaning his private car in front of his house on Friday noon. At that time, three men on a motorcycle stood in front of the car and opened fire on him. He was shot. Later, the miscreants cut off his leg with a sharp weapon to ensure his death.
