Two killed in Magura road crash

At least two people were killed and 10 injured when a passenger bus rammed a battery-run auto rickshaw in Magura Sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon (July 13).
The deceased were known as Sagor Hossain, 30, son of Awal Mollah, hailed from Gouricharanpur village of the Sadar upazila, and Reshma Khatun, 35, wife of Anisur, hailed Doramtona village of Raghabdair union.
Locals said that carrying passengers from Alamkhali Bazar in Magura, the battery-powered van was heading to Hatgopalpur Bazar in Jhenaidah this afternoon. Meanwhile, the passenger bus hit the three-wheeler from the opposite direction, leaving Sagor Hossain dead on the spot and injured 11 others.
Later, the injured were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital where Reshma died under treatment.
Magura Ramnagar Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahabub Hossain confirmed the matter.
