Rail link of North Bengal with Dhaka restored

Rail communication between Dhaka and the northern districts of the country resumed following the rescue of a truck that got stuck at the Sonakhali railway crossing located on the border of Kaliakair upazila in Gazipur and Mirzapur upazila in Tangail.
The truck got stuck at the Sonakhali railway crossing around 8:30 am on Monday (July 14) and train service restored around 11 am.
Abul Khayer Chowdhury, Station Master of Joydebpur Railway Junction, confirmed the development.
Station Master Abul Khayer said the disruption took place around 8:30 am when the truck got stuck at the Sonakhali Rail Crossing, snapping train communication between Dhaka and the northern parts of the country.
