Another accused in Sohag murder arrested in Narayanganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested another accused in the case over the killing of Lal Chand alias Sohag near Mitford Hospital in the capital.

The arrestee is known as Nannu. He was one of four people seen in a viral video attacking the 39-year-old trader with bricks and cement blocks to ensure his death.

The law enforcers arrested him from Narayanganj port around 1:00 am on Tuesday (July 15).

With this, eight people have been arrested in the case so far.

Sohag, 39, was killed in a gruesome attack last Wednesday (July 9) in front of Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka. According to eyewitness accounts, he was lured to the spot, beaten, and struck repeatedly with bricks and stones, resulting in severe injuries to his head and body. He was also stripped, and some of the attackers were seen jumping on his body.
