We will respond to attack of Mujibists: Nahid 

National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam has said, “We have come to Gopalganj with a call for peace, not war. We have not come to change the name of Gopalganj. We have come to protect your rights. Mujibists have obstructed us here. Today, the NCP rally was attacked. We will respond to this”.

He said this at a rally organized in the Municipal Park area of Gopalganj town on Wednesday (July 16) afternoon.

Earlier, at around 1:35 pm, leaders and activists of the banned Chhatra League and Awami League attacked the NCP rally. 

On the other hand, Awami League and Chhatra League leaders and activists set fire to a police vehicle in Gopalganj Sadar and attacked a UNO convoy.
