Four platoons of BGB deployed in Gopalganj

Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed along with police and army due to the escalating unrest in Gopalganj.

Shariful Islam, public relations officer (PRO) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), confirmed the deployment of the border force on Wednesday afternoon.

A clash was ongoing between police and the alleged supporters of Awami League and Chhatra League as of 4pm on Wednesday.
