Despite attack or assassination attempt, July March will continue: Nahid

National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam has claimed that Mujibist terrorists attacked with the intent to kill their leaders and activists in Gopalganj.

He made the allegation at a press conference held at Khulna Press Club on Thursday (July 16). 

“NCP will not stop its July March program despite attack or assassination attempt on them",  said Nahid Islam. 

“Mujibist terrorists, terrorists from the banned organization Chhatra League and Awami League, attacked their program in Gopalganj. They attacked in a militant manner with the aim of killing the leaders of the NCP and the mass uprising”, he claimed.

He said, “We went to talk about the politics of Gopalganj, the problems of the people of the district, and the ideas of the National Citizens Party. We also talked there. After the leaders gave their speeches, on the way to Madaripur, fascist Awami League terrorists attacked our convoy with locals weapons and opened fire on them. They also attacked the law enforcement agencies. At one stage, we came to Khulna with the help of the law enforcement agencies”, he said. 

The NCP convener said that the program that was scheduled to take place in Madaripur and Shariatpur on Wednesday was postponed.
