Curfew, Section 144 withdrawn from Gopalganj

Curfew and Section 144 imposed in Gopalganj following deadly clashes surrounding a rally by National Citizen Party (NCP) have been officially lifted.

A statement issued by the district magistrate media cell confirmed the matter on Sunday evening (July 20).

After five days, the district administration lifted the curfew and Section 144 from Gopalganj.

The statement said that from 8:00 PM Sunday, neither curfew nor section 144 would remain in effect in Gopalganj district.

Authorities are closely monitoring the overall situation and further instructions will be issued based on ongoing assessments.
