Staff Correspondent: A Royal Bengal Tiger at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur bit off an arm of a visitor who tried to attract another tiger stretching his hand through nets.
Ankon, 26, had put his left arm into the nets after riding on the wall on Tuesday noon. He tried to attract a tiger resting far away by waving his hand. Another tiger that was beside the wall grabbed his arm. Seeing this, other visitors of the park tried to pull out Ankon. At one stage, the tiger bit his arm off, said Shibu Prashad Bhattacharya and Krishnakamal Mazumder, range officials of the park.
Injured Ankon then was admitted to a nearby hospital.
