Staff Correspondent: Some 79 activists of Mro National Party (MNP), a much-talked armed group of Bandarban hill district, have surrendered with 55 arms to Bangladesh Army.
The MNP activists surrendered their arms around 2.00pm on Thursday.
Confirming the matter, Chittagong GOC (General Officer Commanding) Maj Gen Md Shafiqur Rahman said that the ethnic minority group surrendered their firearms through a programme held at remote Kuruk Patajiri in Alikadom upazila of the district.
