Two killed in Jessore road accident

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Two people have been killed in two separate road accidents in the district.

The deceased were identified as Taibur Rahman, 20, son of Altaf Chowdhury from Khorki area and Ashanur Rahman, 25, son of Alauddin from Sharsha upazila of the town.

Sheikh Elias Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said a motorcycle which was being run by Taibur crashed into a battery-run easy bike when the motorcycle reached Chowrasta intersection of the town around 12:00pm, leaving Taibur critically injured.

Taibur was sent to Jessore-250-bed hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, Ashanur Rahman was killed when a collision took place between a motorcycle and a truck in Sharsha upazila of the town around 10:00am, said Ziaur Rahman, Baganchra police outpost investigation officer (IC).
