3 to die for killing businessman in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent: A court in the district on Thursday sentenced three persons to death for killing a jute businessman named Giasuddin in 2010.

Judge Musrat Jerin of the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court of the district passed the order around 4:30pm.

The convicts are- Jamir Ali, 27, Enamul alias Enamul Kazi, 29, Mintu Sheikh.

According to the case statement, on October 20, 2010, the jute trader was returning home from Khalilpur Bazar. And the convicts stopped and hacked him to death in Barokhada Bridge area.Later, victim's wife Sheuli Begum filed a case with Faridpur Katwali police station mentioning the three names.

The court public prosecutor Khandakar Jahid Hossain Joy confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
