Suspected militant killed in Bogra gunfight

Bogra Correspondent: An alleged terrorist was killed in a 'gunfight' with police in Patanja area under Kahalu upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Musa alias Rabin, a cohort of militant leader Razib Gandhi also a coordinator of militant organization JMB.

Sources said that tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area when a gang of terrorists was staying there at about 2:30 am. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the gang members opened fire on them, forcing the police to fire back that triggered a gun battle.

Meanwhile, police recovered the bullet injured Robin with a pistol, three rounds bullets and lethal weapon from the spot.

Later, the injured was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
