Bhola Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said there is no existence of so called Islamic States (IS) in the domain of Bangladesh.
He said though Bangladesh's people are pious, they are not fanatics. They do not like militancy and terrorism. So, there is no existence of IS in the land of Bangladesh."
"Those militants currently prevail in the country, they are locally made. They have no links with international militant organisations. Our law enforcement agencies are controlling them strictly," he added.
The Minister came up with the statement while speaking at a programme in the district's Charfashion on Saturday.
In a query over transport workers' strike, he said, "The strike was totally illogical. They could go to the higher court against the lower court's order. If there is any instigation behind this strike, detectives will find out this. But, we will not harass anybody for nothing."
