4 get death for gang-raping housewife in Laxmipur

Laxmipur Correspondent: A district court handed down death sentence to four people for gang-raping the wife of an expatriate at Rashidpur village in the district.
The court of Additional District and Session's Judge Md Saidur Rahman Gazi pronounced the verdict on Tuesday noon.
He also fined Tk50,000 each in this regard.
The death row convicts are—Nasir, 28, son of Abdul Jabbar; Masud Alam, 20, son of Md Hashem; Bahar, 24, son of Tofael Ahmed and Mahin Hossain, 21, son of Ali Ahmed. All were from the Rashidpur village.
Masud Alam is on the run while three others were present at the court during the announcement of the verdict.
On August 18, 2013, all the accused raped the woman by turns at a nearby garden in the area.
