Sexagenarian dies in scuffling

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A 65-year old man was killed in scuffling between two groups at Hatrom water-body area of the district's Bagmara upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Jeker Ali, son of late Piyar Ali of the village.
Police held one named Rohidul Islam, 40, in connection with the incident. He is son of late Tayez Uddin Mondal of neighbouring Shantiparha village.
Abdul Hakim, local UP member, confirmed the news.
He said Jeker Ali died in scuffling between two groups over land dispute.
Confirming the news, Aminul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI), also In-Charge of Hatgangoparha Police Outpost of Bagmara, said the body will be sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy after preparing inquest (Surathal) report.
Lodging murder case under process while the report was filed around 2:30pm, according to SI Aminul.
