Container with high radioactive substances seized at Ctg port

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Customs officials seized a container with high radioactive substances at Chittagong Seaport on Thursday afternoon.

On secret information, they seized the container while it was being sent to China.

Lt. Col. Abdul Gaffar, Director (security) of Chittagong Port Authority, confirmed the news.

He said the container was seized on suspicious of having high radioactive substances in it.

The container was later sealed off, he said.

The container was supposed to be sent to China via Singapore, he added.
