Man killed in rival attack in Kapasia

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A man was killed as rivals attacked on him over land dispute at Khirati Madhyaparha village of the district's Kapasia upazila onSaturday.

The deceased was identified as Mostofa Kamal, 42, son of late Sekander Ali of the village. He used to drive battery-run auto-rickshaw in the area.

Police arrested four people for their alleged involvement in the incident.

The arrestees are Ismail, 32, Firoza Begum, 40, Renu Akter, 40, and Nazma Akter, 36. They all are residents of the same area.

Md Monir Hossain, Inspector (Operation) of Kapasia Police Station, confirmed the news.

A case was filed with the police station in this connection, he added.

The body was sent to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
