7 killed as bus plunges into ditch in Comilla

Comilla Correspondent: At least seven people were killed and 20 others injured when a passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch in Nuritala area of Chandina upazila on Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Sunday.

The deceased could not be known immediately.

The Dhaka-bound bus of Tisha Paribahan skidded off the roadside ditch after the driver lost his control over the steering in Nuritala area around 11:30pm, Shafikul Islam, assistant police super (Comilla circle), said.

The number of the deceased might rise, the police official said.
