Rangpur road crash kills two

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: At least two people were killed and 30 others injured in a road accident Shah Amanat Feeling area of Pairaband union under Mithapukur upazila of the district on Sunday.

Of the deceased one was identified as Manik, 35, son of Abdus Samad, hailed from Jayrampur Anwar village of the union.

Witness and police sources said that Lalmonirhat-bound a passenger bus collided with a pickup van in the area around 9:00am, leaving Manik dead on the spot and injured 31 others.

Later, the injured were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and local clinics where another one died under treatment.

Barodargah Highway police Sub-inspector Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
