10 shops gutted in Patkelghata fire

Satkhira Correspondent: At least 10 shops were gutted in a fire at Kumira Bazar area in Patkelghata of the district on Tuesday.

Ramprosad, owner of a shop gutted in the fire, said the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit in his shop. The fire has gutted nearby ten shops and nearly Tk 20 lakh has been damaged in the fire.

Confirming the incident, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patkelghata Police Station Molla Zakir Hossain said on information, fire service members rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
