Two killed in Jessore road crashes

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: At least two people were killed and another one injured in separate accidents on Jessore-Jhenaidah near Jessore cantonment area on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Mangal Gazi, 85, son of Denrul Gazi and Abdur Rahim, 55, son of Shukur Ali.

Sources said that Mangal Gazi was a contractor. He was heading towards a hairdressing shop this morning. Meanwhile, a speedy microbus rammed him in the area, leaving him dead on spot.

Besides, Abdur Rahim was killed when a truck hit his motorbike, leaving him dead on the spot and critically injured another one.

Jessore Katwali police station SI Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
