Jessore BCL leader's brother killed in bomb attack

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: A brother of Jhikargacha upazila BCL leader Kamal Hossain was killed in a bomb attack on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abbas Hossain, 40, son of Hazra Morol, hailing Chandrapur village of the upazila.

Locals said that upazila BCL general secretary Kamal Hossain and his brother Abbas Hossain were staying at their home around 11:30am. Meanwhile, some unidentified miscreants attacked them with a bomb, leaving Abbas critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to local hospital but he died on the way of hospital.

On information, police recovered the body.

Confirming the matter, Jessore Assistant Police Super Imran Mehedi said that political dispute might the reason behind the murder.

The law enforcers are conducting drive to detain the criminals, he added.
