3 killed in Khulna road crash

Staff Correspondent: At least three people including a student were killed and seven other were injured in a road accident on Khulna-Satkhira highway on Saturday noon.

The accident took place around 12.45pm in Majherbari area of Dumuria upazila.

The deceased were identified as Narayan Chandro Mondol (60), Asadur Morol (28) and Sakibul Islam (10), a student.

According to sources, a Khulna-bound bus hit a Mahindra that hit a van, leaving three dead on the spot and seven injured.

The injured are Shahidul Islam (40) at Kalikapur of Dumuria, Kobir Sardar (40), Amirul Islam (42) at Hasanpur, Sultan Ahmed (45) at Rajapur, Afroja Begum (45) at Komolpur, Anjuara Begum (50) at Gutidia and Altaf Hossain (76) at Golna village.

They were first admitted to Dumuria Upazila Health Complex. But later several were shifted to   Khulna Medical College Hospital.
