Two killed in Tungipara clash

Gopalganj Correspondent: A fierce clash between two groups of villagers at Madhukhali under Tungipara Upazila of the district has left two people dead and over 20 injured.

The deceased were identified as Montu Sheikh, 60 and Habibullah Sheikh, 22.

Sources said that there was a dispute between Montu Sheikh and his neighbour Babul Sheikh over land dispute. Following the dispute, the two groups locked into clash, leaving 22 people injured.

Later, the two critically injured sent to Tungipara Hospital and shifted to Gopalganj General Hospital where Montu Sheikh died under treatment. And Habibullah was sent to Dhaka for better treatment but he died on the way of Dhaka.

Tungipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Enamul Kabir confirmed the matter.
