Prisoner dies in Satkhira jail

Satkhira Correspondent: Mazharul Islam, an accused in a drug case, has died in Satkhira district jail.

According to sources, he became ill on Tuesday and died on the way to hospital.

Majarul Islam was the owner of Satkhira town’s Nahar Motors, and a resident of Palashpool area of town.

Satkhira Jail Super Abu Taher said that about two months ago, Mazarul Islam came to jail in a drug case. He died on the way to Satkhira Sadar Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

He also said he died of stroke.
