Titu bags AL ticket for Mymensigh city polls

Senior Correspondent: The ruling Awami League (AL) has nominated Ikramul Haque Titu to vie for the maiden Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) polls.
Titu is the president of Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League, also mayor of Mymensingh municipality.
The decision was taken in a meeting of AL’s local government nomination board held at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Gono Bhaban on Friday evening.
AL’s deputy office secretary Biplop Barua confirmed the news.
Earlier, AL started nomination paper sale for the polls since Tuesday morning.
