375 rounds of bullets found at Rajshahi pond

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A total of 375 bullets were found in an abandoned pond in Tanore upazila of the district on Monday.

Sources said that local of Malshira village found the bullets, wrapped in a packet, while fishing around 11:00am.

Abdur Razzak Khan, additional superintendent of police (ASP) in Rajshahi said, the owner of the pond is Abdus Sattar. Recently another person leased the pond from him.

“These kinds of bullets are too old. Police use such rifles no longer,” ASP said. 

Locals guessed that the bullets might be from the time of Liberation War in 1971.
