Lightning strikes kill 4 including child in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj Correspondent: Four people including a child have been killed in separate incidents of lightning strike in three upazilas in Kishoreganj.

The incidents took place in Mithamoin, Itna and pakundia from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Friday.

In Mithamoin, a seven-year-old child was killed by lightning strike while he went out for fetching cattle from haor. He was known as Sumon Mia, son of Ebad Mia of Kurarkandi village.

The cattle calf was also died by the thunder strike.

A youth named Mohiuddin, 22, was killed by lightning strike at Biramchar village while he was harvesting paddy in haor. He was known as son of Golap Mia of Biramchar.

In Itna, Rubel Das, 26, was killed by lightning strike while he was returning home from haor. He was known as son of Rakesh Das of Kathuir village of the upazila.

In Pakundia, Asad Mia, 45, were killed by lightning strike as he went out for cutting grass for cattle. He was known as son of late Ayes Ali of Koshakanda village under the upazila.

Officials of the concerned police stations confirmed the news of death respectively.
