Mother-daughter shot dead in Rangamati

Rangamati Correspondent: An elderly woman and her daughter were shot to death at Agapara of Gobachhora area under Kaptai Upazila on Monday night.

Md Sufi Ullah, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Rangamati, confirmed the news.

He said, “Miscreants shot an elderly woman and her 30-year-old daughter to death.”

The deceased were known as Ma Sang Khai Marma and her daughter Me Sangnu Marma.

Being informed by locals, police recovered their bodies.

Relatives said husband of Me Sangnu and her father were active members of Liberation Party MLT. Recently, they left the party and joined a regional political party. So, being furious, MLT’s armed-terrorists killed them.
