Youth dies of dengue in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A young man has died of dengue fever at Kumudini Hospital in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district.

Arif Hossain Kajol, 28, died at the MMA ward of the hospital on Wednesday night.

The deceased was the son of Md Alam Mia at Khoilshindur village under Uwarshi union of the upazila.

Kumudini Hospital Director Dr Pradip Kumar Rai said Kajol was admitted to the hospital with extreme fever on August 4. He was supposed to receive a blood transfusion, but he died before that. The body was handed over to the family at night.

Currently, some 13 dengue patients are being treated at the hospital, he also said.
