Housewife killed in Satkhira road crash

Satkhira Correspondent:  A housewife was killed as a pick-up van hit a motorbike on Wednesday morning.

The accident took place around 8.00am on Satkhira-Khulna road at Kumira Kadamtala under Tala upazila.

The deceased is Fatima Khatun, 30, wife of Dr Azizur Rahman at Kumira Nowakati village of the upazila.

Rezaul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Police Station, said the accident took place when a pick-up hit a motorbike carrying Fatima and her husband, leaving her dead on the spot.

Seriously injured Dr Rahman was admitted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
