Youth dies of dengue in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A youth died of dengue at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Friday evening.

The deceased, identified as Abu Syed, 30, was a resident of the City’s Asadganj area.

Emon Das, assistant registrar of the hospital’s medicine department, confirmed the death of dengue.

According to hospital sources, Syed was hospitalised on Thursday with dengue. Later on Friday morning, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

This is the first death of dengue at the Chattogram Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) this year. Earlier, a dengue infected person died at a private hospital of the port city.
