Two killed Rajshahi road accidents

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A school teacher and a student were killed in separate road accidents in Paba and Baghmara upazilas in Rajshahi on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Anwarul Aktar Roni, 38, assistant teacher of Dhopaghata high school and Asadul Islam, 12, a student of class six in Jhikra high school in Baghmara upazila.

Paba police station OC Rezaul Hasan said, the school teacher was returning home from his school this noon. Meanwhile, a speedy truck rammed him on Rajshahi-Naogaon highway in Puthiyapara area, leaving him dead on the spot.

On the other hand, the victim Asadul was killed when a locally made engine-run auto rickshaw turned turtle in Dangasi area.

Baghmara police station OC Ataur Rahman confirmed the matter.
