Housewife dies of dengue in Jashore

Jashore Correspondent: A housewife has died of dengue fever at Salamatpur village under Monirampur upazila in Jashore.

She was known as Meherun Nisa, 50, wife of Abdur Razzak Dafadar of the village.

She lost the battle for life on Thursday night.

Brother-in-law of the deceased Nur Islam said, Meherun was admitted to Jhikargachha Upazila Health Complex on September 6 after she had been infected with dengue. Later, she was referred to Jashore General Hospital where she suffered stroke. Then, she was shifted to Khulna Medical College and Hospital as her health condition deteriorated. But she was released as the physical condition did not develop.

She died on her way home from Khulna hospital on Thursday, he added.
