Man crushed under train in Chuadanga

A 60-year old man was crushed under a train near Bananipara rail gate in Chudanga Sadar upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Alauddin, a resident of Gaidghat village under Chudanga Sadar upazila.

Jalal Uddin, sub-inspector of Chuadanga Railway Police, said the ‘Nakshikantha’ mail train from Khulna hit Alauddin when he was crossing the rail track in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Chudanga Sadar morgue for autopsy.
