Two Rohingyas killed in Teknaf ‘gunfight’

Two Rohingya drug traders were killed in a “gunfight” with the members of Rapid Action Battalion in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar early Wednesday.

The incident took place on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive road at Shamlpur area in Baharchara union of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Myanmar Rohingya citizen Abdul Hasim and Mohammad Aiyub.

Squadron Commander ASP Md Shah Alam, in-charge of RAB-15 Hoaikyong camp, confirmed the matter.

During the gunfight, 10,000 pieces of yaba, two local guns and five bullets were recovered from their possession, he said.
