Son kills father in Satkhira

A man has been killed allegedly by his son at Shahpur village under Krishnagar in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira.

The deceased was identified as Shamsur Rahman Dhali, son of late Badar Uddin Dhali.

Delwar Hussain, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said a clash ensued among Shamsur’s children over a land around 10:30am. When Shamsur tried to stop them his son Mia Raj hit him with a stick, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police sent the body to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
