Woman dies of fever-shortness of breath: 5 houses lockdown

Matlab Upazila Administration in Chandpur put five houses under lockdown since Saturday morning after a woman died of fever, cold, cough and shortness of breath at Munshirkandi village.
According to sources, Julekha Begum, 55, died on Friday night.
Earlier, she returned home from Nayaranganj three days ago. She was suffering from fever, cold, cough and shortness of breath. With the illness, she roamed in the area on Thursday, day before she died. Neighbours informed the matter to local police station. Later, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Nusrat Jahan Mithen, Matlab Upazila Health and Family Planning officer, told risingbd that sample of the woman was sent to Dhaka for coronavirus test.
Some 20 to 25 people of five houses were put under home quarantine till the report reaches, she added.
Chandpur deputy commissioner (DC) Mazedur Rahman also confirmed the news.
