Man dies of shortness of breath in Kaliganj

A man has died of shortness of breath while undergoing treatment at Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex of Gazipur on Tuesday morning.

Jisely Ghosh Munmun, duty officer of emergency department of the hospital, confimred the news.

She said the 60-year-old man came to hospital by a rickshaw with shortness of breath on Monday evening. He was admitted to the hospital immediately. But he died on Tuesday morning.

Sample of the deceased was collected to test whether he was infected with coronavirus or not, she added.

Dr Mohammad Sadekur Rahman Akonda, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, said though the patient was suffering from shortness of breath, but his body temperature was normal. He was not suffering from fever.
