Another coronavirus case confirmed in Narsingdi

A man in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi has tested positive for coronavirus, making him the second confirmed case in the district.

Narsingdi Additional Deputy Commissioner and Narsingdi Corona Prevention Emergency Cell’s chief Imrul Kayes confirmed the news on Tuesday night.

The patient was an employee of a pharmaceutical company.

He said “The man went to Dhaka for a coronavirus test after showing symptoms of Covid-19. Later, he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.”

The local administration has locked down his house and sent him to isolation.

Earlier, a man in Palash upazila tested positive for coronavirus, making him the first confirmed case in the district.
