2 die after taking liquor in Pabna

Two people have died allegedly after drinking excessive liquor at Ishurdi upazila in Pabna.

They died while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Sunday night.

The deceased are Ohidur Rahman, 32, son of former Ishurdi mayor Moklesur Rahman, and Raju Hossain, 30, son of late Shamim Hossain at Fote Mohammadpur.

According police and locals, they became sick after taking excessive liquor from a homoeo pharmacy.

They were immediately taken to Ishurdi Upazila Heath Complex and later they were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
