Moulvibazar district has been locked down in order to contain the transmission of coronavirus or COVID-19 in the district.
One person has been found to be infected with coronavirus so far.
Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Najia Shirin announced the lockdown for the Moulvibazar district around 12 pm on Monday (April 13).
Public entry and exit to the district have been restricted until further instruction, the DC said.
All kinds of public transport and people's movement will also be restricted, she said.
But emergency services will remain out of the purview of the lockdown, she added.
Stern action will be taken if anybody is seen to flout the rules of the lockdown, the DC warned.
