90 health workers infected with corona in Narayanganj

About 90 health workers including 15 physicians have been infected with coronavirus in Narayanganj.

Most of them have been kept at isolation.

About the infection, the people concerned have mentioned some reasons including hiding corona infection by patients and lack of providing the appropriate safety clothing PPE, masks and other equipment to the doctors and health workers at the right time.

Narayanganj District Corona Prevention Committee’s focal person and Sadar Upazila Health Officer Dr. Jahidul Islam confirmed the matter.

Among the infected persons, 42 staff including six physicians and nine nurses of Narayanganj 300-bed hospital, 12 staff including a physician of 100-bed Narayanganj General (Victoria) Hospital, five including civil surgeon and two physicians of Civil Surgeon's Office, 10 including three physicians of Poly Clinic, three people from Madi Plus Hospital, three people including a physician at City Life Hospital and 15 more people of other private hospitals and clinics, he said.
