Doctors among 7 infected with corona in Jhenaidah

Seven people including three specialised doctors have been found to be infected with coronavirus or COVID-19 in Jhenaidah in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 28.

This was confirmed from the health department around 9:30 am on Tuesday (May 5).

The infected are aged between 32 and 50 years old.

Jhenaidah Civil Surgeon Dr Selina Begum said 35 samples were tested at Jashore University of Science and Technology and Khulna Medical College in last 24 hours. Of them, seven people tested positive for coronavirus.

Of those infected, three doctors were from Sadar hospital and Kaliganj hospital, she said.
