2 more test coronavirus positive in Gangni

Two more people have tested positive for coronavirus or COVID-19 in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 5.

Gangni upazila health and family planning official Dr Riazul Alam confirmed the matter on Wednesday (May 6).

Of those infected, one is Oman returnee and another is Dhaka returnee. Both of them have remained in quarantine at their respective homes, said Riazul.

Samples of the infected were collected and then sent those to the lab of Jashore University of Science and Technology for tests. Of them, two people were detected with coronavirus positive, he said.
