Mother, daughter killed as truck ploughs into hut

A woman and her daughter were killed as a truck rammed into a roadside hut in Omarpur area of Nandigramupazilain Boguraearly Saturday.

The deceased were identified as KatejanBibi, 65, wife of late Korban Ali in Omarpur area, and her daughter KatuliBibi, 43.

Inspector of Kundarhaat highway police outpost Saiful Islam a truck carrying sand hit the roadside hut where the mother and daughter were sleeping,leaving both of them dead on the spot.

The truck driver managed to flee the scene but police arrested his assistantAlam Sheikh (30).
