85 among deputy minister’s mother infected with corona

At least 85 people including mother of Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury have so far been infected with coronavirus in Chattogram.

The minister’s mother Hasina Mohiuddin tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.

Earlier, minister’s younger brother Salehin tested positive for coronavirus.

On Tuesday a journalist also tested positive for coronavirus.

At least two people died of coronavirus in Chattogram so far.

Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi confirmed this information on Tuesday.

The civil surgeon said after Salehin, after younger brother of deputy minister for education had tested positive for coronavirus, samples of all the members of their family including the minister were tested. Of them Hasina Mohiuddin tested   positive for coronavirus

Meanwhile, the police locked down several houses in the area including the house of ex-Mayor Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
