Nurse infected with coronavirus dies

A senior staff nurse who tested positive for coronavirus or Covid-19 on June 27 in Brahmanbaria has died in Dhaka this morning.

The deceased Jahirul Islam, 43, passed away around 9:45 am while undergoing treatment at Mugda Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.

Banchharampur upazila health and family planning officer Al Mamun confirmed the matter.

Jahirul Islam worked as a senior staff nurse at Banchharampur upazila health complex. He was a resident of Nagerchar village under Titas upazila of Cumilla.
